Some of our day old Rhode Island
Red Chickens.
Guineas:
Standard Breed Guinea

These birds are great watchdogs!  They will begin to yelp
when a strange person or animal comes into their area.  They
are also great for insect control!

When a guinea is full-grown, it will have a naked head with a
hard crest on top.  This gives them a look all their own!
Guineas are a delicacy for those who enjoy a rich-flavored dark
meat.

Our guineas are dark gray in color and have white drops of
color on their feathers (Pearl Guineas).

Our poultry are raised from a day old chick and some are
hatched on our farm.  We get most of our poultry from a
hatchery at the age of one day.  We raise them until they are 8
to 20 weeks old.  They are free range after they are old
enough to be outside.  They are feed quality gains and
medicated feed until they reach the age of 8 weeks.

Our poultry is state inspected and state tested disease free.
Our flock is a member of the National Poultry Improvement
Plan (NPIP) certified disease free.

If you would like to buy our poultry please call or E-mail for
prices or availability.  Our chickens and Turkeys go fast so
we recommend that you reserve yours a head of time.

are good layers and lay all year round.  The roosters are a
shinny dark red with greenish-black tail feathers.  The hens
will weight about 6 1/2 pounds and the roosters will weight
about 7 1/2 pounds.

Barred Rocks:

This old time favorite is a brown egg layer and a good one at
that.  The Barred Rocks have black and white barred feathers,
with the roosters slightly lighter in color then the hens.  The
roosters range from 6 to 7 pounds and hens about 6 pounds.

Ameraucana/araucana:

This is the famous colored egg laying chicken (nicknamed the
Easter Egg chicken). They lay olive green to turquoise blue
colored eggs.  This hardy breed started in the United States in
the 1970s. They come in assortment of colors.  The roosters
weight about 5 pounds and the hens weight about 4 pounds.

Golden Buffs (Red Stars):

These are a very good brown egg laying chicken.  They are a
very laid back chicken.  They start laying at about 22 weeks.
They are great all year round layers.

White Plymouths:

These very large bright white colored chickens are calm and
pleasant to be around.  They lay a large brown egg and lay
good year round. Roosters are around 9 pounds and hens at 7
1/2 pounds.

If you are looking for a good meat chicken this is the one.
These are the same type that you buy in the store and grown
commercially. However, ours are raised in a free-range

Turkeys

Broad-Breasted Bronze Turkey:

These are similar in color to a wild turkey but larger in size.
The males can go from 30 to 40 pounds and the hens from 25
to 35 pounds.  They are very popular for small farms and
Thanksgiving dinners.  They can produce a large amount of
meat.

Bourbon Red Turkey:

These turkeys are a member of the Heritage Breed turkeys.
Heritage breeds are those birds that were raised the
old-fashioned way in small flocks on farms before large
commercial growers became popular.  These turkeys have a
chestnut red plumage with white tail and wing feathers.  They
are a little slower to grow than a white turkey.  Hens will grow
to about 10-12 lbs. while the toms can grow to about 15-18
lbs.
