We breed and raise Hampshire/Yorkshire pigs, commonly called Blue Butts.  They are
pasture raised, not in confinement like most commercially raised hogs.  Our hogs are
fed only natural grains. We have found that hogs that are allowed to graze in pastures
and fed only natural grains have a better quality meat and better tasting meat.

We sell our  piglets to 4-H members, individual people for meat, and to other hog raisers.  We have a
litter about every 45 days at our farm.

We sell  pigs of all sizes and ages.   We also breed litters specific for people to be born at a time they
want them..

For prices on our hogs and to check availability please E-mail or call us.

We now raise Registered Tamworth Pigs commonly called the bacon hog.

We also now raise
Hereford Hogs
                                     About our Hogs
Our pigs are Hampshire and Yorkshire mix.  We have found that this gives the pigs some of
the best traits of both breeds.  They are free-range and not raised in confinement buildings.
They are fed grains and natural feed.  We believe there are many advantages to free-ranging
our pigs.  They have access to the sun and minerals they need from nature.  We do not have
to provide these minerals in shots .  It is our experience  the pigs are healthier, grow faster,
and produce stronger piglets.  We field raise our hogs in pastures that we rotate.  This type
of management has been used for years in heritage type farms.  Our pigs are breed for
temperament and size.

Even though we raise our pigs for their meat, they are raised with a lot of love and care.  Our
family works together to raise them.  In doing this, we become familiar with our pigs, their
likes and dislikes, and their personalities.  It is amazing how different each pigs personality
can be.

                                          Tamworth Hogs
We raise registered Tamworth Pigs.  Commonly called the Bacon Hog for the size of the
sides of the hog.  The Tamworth is a Heritage breed hog and rare in West Virginia.  They do
grow a little slower then the Yorks.
